Shipping Policy

Tracking information: 

  • It is our goal to provide tracking information to you on the day your order ships. ● It can take up to 24 hours for tracking information to show up on the carrier’s website – this is especially true for LTL/Freight shipments. 
  • If you did not receive tracking information – please call and we would be happy to track your shipment and email you the tracking information as well. 

Shipping Methods: 

Shipping methods are categorized as: 

  • Freight (large or heavy shipments that will be shipped via a LTL or other freight carrier) typically weighing more than 100 lbs. 
  • Package/parcel (smaller boxes and packages typically weighing less than 100 lbs ● We will determine the best option for shipping your order based on the product type taking into consideration the size and weight of the shipment. 

Order processing time:

  • Most package orders placed before 1pm Eastern time on normal business days will be shipped out that same day. Larger orders, special orders, Freight orders usually ship within 24-48 hours.
  • If you need your shipment faster – please call and speak with us directly 

Shipping Insurance: 

  • You may choose to add insurance to your shipment by calling us with the order. Insuring your shipment will add cost and you are responsible for that cost
  • If you need to file a claim – you are responsible for doing so.

Shipping price: 

  • Contrary to popular belief shipping isn’t actually free. Sellers who are able to ship items for free simply build the shipping cost into their pricing somewhere. As a small business we are not able to absorb these costs. 
  • We partner with several vendors in an attempt to hold shipping costs down as much as possible. We don’t like paying any more for shipping than we have to either. 

Transit time general guidelines: 

  • This depends entirely on what method, carrier, and level of service you choose.
  • Freight transit times are normally 1-10 business days depending on a number of factors
    • Package transit times are normally 
      • 1-5 business days for ground 
      • 2 business days for 2nd day air 
      • 1 business day for overnight 
  • Transit times start once the carrier has picked up the shipment. 
    • If you order an overnight shipment on Friday before the cutoff, it would normally deliver the next business day which is Monday – unless that is a holiday in which case it might not deliver until Tuesday. 
  • Carriers sometimes offer guaranteed delivery. However in practice it is rare you are able to successfully file a claim for a late delivery – even with a guaranteed delivery. Delays related to weather, equipment failure, acts of God, and almost anything else become reasons they deny the claim.

Freight / LTL Deliveries: 

  • We will only ship freight/LTL to commercial addresses. The location must be easily and routinely accessible by semi trucks with up to a 53’ trailer. Rural, Urban, Residential or other locations that are not easily accessible in this manner will result in your shipment being held for pickup at the freight terminal. 
  • The customer is responsible for all charges resulting from a shipment being delivered. We will provide an estimate to the best of our ability 
  • If your order is more than 300 lbs or cannot be hand unloaded – we will only ship to a commercial location with a forklift. If you do not have a commercial location with a forklift we will ship to a freight terminal where you can pickup the freight. 
  • Damaged freight – you are responsible to report any damage at the time of delivery and note it on the proof of delivery prior to signing. You are responsible for any damage not written down on the proof of delivery at the time of delivery. We cannot guarantee that the carrier will pay out on a claim. 
  • If freight is held or returned because it is unable to be delivered for any reason – you will be responsible for those additional costs. 

Package / parcel deliveries: 

  • If you would like to require a signature for delivery – please request that with your order. If this is not requested – we cannot guarantee the carrier will require a signature. Assume it will be left without a signature. 
  • Once a package is delivered neither Minute Man nor the carrier have any liability. Unfortunately package theft is becoming common. It is your responsibility to secure the package at the time of delivery. To reduce the risk of package theft – we recommend you require a signature for delivery. 

Returns: 

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs
